Idea of the Day

Peanut butter and fruit sandwiches on home made gluten free bread!

Instead of jelly or preserves, we'll use real fresh or dried sliced fruit like mango or figs. Such a recipe could be perfect since it would be easy to make, easy for people to take on the go, and appealing to anyone who loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Ryan is currently in the process of making his first batch of mayonnaise to use in a new bread recipe for testing. Results will be posted.

First Logo Design

This is the initial first sketch of the logo and font we would like to use. I found it interesting that while I was sketching this I was trying to do a six point mandala, but couldn't quite work it out. A five point mandala, however, was easy. Ryan then pointed out that the five point mandala seemed more entwined with animism and nature, which is essentially the vibe we want work with.

And so it Begins....

This blog is part of a process of manifesting a food cart we will call "Your Feeding Tree". We decided to create Your Feeding Tree as a response to the crumbling economic structure, a mutual passion for gluten free/sugar free healing foods, and the desire to be completely self sufficient. Here you will find ideas, recipes, sketches, photos, stories all related to Your Feeding Tree and it's creation.

At Your Feeding Tree we want to serve up creative foods and drinks from recipes and ingredients we make mostly from scratch. All foods will be free of meat, gluten and refined sweeteners. There will also be an emphasis on unrefined, raw, and anti-inflammatory ingredients. I would like to serve up as much raw food as possible, since that is the best for your body, but that might not work so well in the winter, so the menu will reflect the seasons and feature new items daily. Also, most items will be dairy free except for goat milk on occasion because it tends to be easier on the digestive system and less mucous producing.

We hope that Your Feeding Tree will become place to share and gain knowledge that will empower everyone to take their health into their own hands. So if you have any ideas that you think would benefit The Feeding Tree, please leave a comment and let us know. After all, it's YOUR Feeding Tree.
